A Museum for All Peoples – In Conversation with Alicia Dubois

April 19 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The Royal BC Museum is in the midst of intensive public consultation as it prepares to undergo a dramatic transformation. RBCM CEO Alicia Dubois discusses the challenges the museum faces as it confronts its colonial past, repatriates artifacts and explores a new future – one that authentically reflects and celebrates Indigenous culture, history and traditions.

Alicia will share:

  • Why RBCM’s past, present and future matters to B.C.
  • How the museum is engaging with First Nations
  • The challenges of balancing local, regional and provincial interests
  • How it is implementing DRIPA
  • The progress that has been made thus far as it looks to its future iteration

The podcast is hosted by Indigenous Prosperity Centre’s Executive Director Christina Clarke and includes a Q&A portion for attendees.
